A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT REVOLVER, MODEL 'ADAM'S PATENT', serial no. B19153,
circa 1858, with blued octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel, the top-strap signed 'WILL'M BISHOP 170 NEW BOND ST'T LONDON', blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, plain cylinder (some replacement nipples), borderline engraved solid frame, sliding safe to right hand side, double action mechanism, chequered walnut semi saw-handled butt and articulated rammer mounted to the left side of barrel, strong traces of blued finish remaining (some bruising); together with its probable original oak casing, lined and compartmented in green baize, reproduction parchment label inside lid and complete with a brass double cavity mould, reproduction flask, cap-tin and cleaning rod, weight of revolver approximately 2 1/2lbs., overall length of same 12 3/4in.
